Arenas are an organised form of PvP where two teams fight each other in a dedicated Arena zone.
Arena Team Types
Wrath of the Lich King has three Arena team formats:
- 2v2 – two players versus two;
- 3v3 – three players versus three;
- 5v5 – five players versus five.
How do I participate?
To participate in rated Arena battles, you must be part of an Arena team for the corresponding format. You can then queue for Arena matches.
When the system finds a suitable opposing team, the participants receive an invitation and are transferred to one of the Arena zones.
Arena Rating
Wins and losses affect the team's Arena Rating. The rating represents the team's performance and changes according to the results of its matches.
Arena Points
At the end of the week, Arena teams can receive Arena Points based on their performance and rating.
To receive Arena Points for the week, you must have played at least 10 Arena matches during that week.
Arena Points are a PvP currency that can be used to purchase certain PvP items and equipment.
