All right, adventurers. The Guardians have been away for a long time. That was quite an AFK.
We're bringing the Weekly Guardian Token Hunt back to EVOWOW. Get your level-80 character ready, make room in your bags and round up a few friends. There's a broken seal to mend, tokens to recover and a Golden Box waiting at the end of the hunt.
A fresh hunt every week
The Guardians are holding the barrier. You're heading into the wilds to recover the power scattered when its seal broke. Pick up Prove yourself! from an Event Guardian in a capital city while the event is active, then check your quest log before setting off.
You'll need all five Guardian token types. The creatures to hunt and the quantities required can change each week, so your quest description is the place to check the current targets and locations. Last week's farming route does not come with a lifetime warranty.
Bring your party if you like. Everyone collecting drops needs the current quest and must qualify for loot, but eligible players can each collect their own tokens when they drop. You can keep hunting beyond your own required quantities and trade spare tokens to help your friends finish, as long as you have not handed in or abandoned the quest and the event is still active.
One hour. Put it on the guild calendar.
- When: every Saturday, 18:00–19:00 server time, following Bulgarian local time.
- Who: level-80 characters from either faction.
- Where to start: an Event Guardian in a capital city.
- The goal: collect the requested tokens and turn in the quest before 19:00.
That hour includes your trip back. When the event ends, the Guardians leave, token drops stop and quest turn-ins close. Joining late does not start a separate timer.
And Avrelia, after your late arrival last time, here's your personal reminder: 18:00 is the start time, not the time to say “logging in now.” We believe in you. So does the alarm clock.
The Golden Box is back on the menu
Complete the quest and hand it in for one Golden Box per character for that week's event. The box remains the reward as the weekly objectives change. Open it for gold and a chance at item rewards, with the contents determined by their drop chances. Your friend's luck is not a preview of your own box.
Tokens can now be traded directly between players. They no longer bind when picked up, but cannot be sent by mail or listed on the Auction House. Trading does not reset their six-hour expiry, so they cannot be saved for next week. That item timer does not extend the event: your quest still needs to be handed in before 19:00.
